King’s Community Care has been an Emergency Food relief agency in Reedy Creek for 35 years, providing free food assistance to individuals and families in need. With the help of our partners and local supermarkets, we provide food boxes that include rescued produce, donated frozen meat and home-cooked frozen meals. Over the past year, we have packed and distributed more than 7,895 family boxes. We also partner with the clothing charity ‘Thread Together’ to offer brand-new quality clothing to those who are vulnerable in our communities. Through our ‘Mobile Wardrobe’ van, we bring these much-needed items directly to people in Southern Queensland and Northern New South Wales. Our 11-year-old ‘Op Shop’ offers affordable goods and furniture to our local community, further contributing to our mission of supporting those facing hardship.
